...our ITIL Project Approach

Our approach to ITIL Implementation

The basis of our control is through the common gated process (see Fig 1) ITIL itself is guided by many interdependencies so at regular stages we need to prepare for these “touch points”.

The processes are benefits driven and that means benefits to you, so while we develop a plan there will be a lot of data capture and collaboration with key players.

If you don’t already have one we will recommend a service desk platform that meets your needs and (if you prefer) deal with 3rd party suppliers.

The set-up of a data repository is crucial and any process documentation and knowledge base we develop will be stored there securely.

A full program of training, workshops, and mentoring agreements will be identified and rolled-out after defining a training needs analysis.

Of course it is likely that you will already have some excellent procedures in place so we will aim to align these and others with ITIL best practices.

The day to day management will be seamless allowing the board to manage by exception. There will be frequent and regular reports on progress and exceptions raised as necessary.

There will be formal staged handovers at defined stages including handover and post project review.

Maturity check – our starting point for your project

The maturity check is our way of scoping your current status – defining where you are now to where you need to be, in essence it is the benchmark to be revised after each win and your measure of how the project is progressing.
